I love spaghetti—it’s one of my favorite dishes to enjoy. Adding ground beef creates a perfect balance of protein and carbohydrates. For beginners learning to cook, spaghetti with ground beef is an excellent place to start. This post will guide you step by step through the process of making this delicious meal.

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 pound (450g) ground beef
  • 1 package (16 oz) spaghetti
  • 1 jar (24 oz) spaghetti sauce (or tomato paste)
  • 1 small onion (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic (optional)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil or any cooking oil
  • Large pot
  • Frying pan

Step 1: Boil the Spaghetti
Fill a large pot with water and add a pinch of salt. Put it on the stove and turn the heat to high. When the water boils (big bubbles!), add the spaghetti. Stir occasionally so the noodles don’t stick. Cook for about 8-10 minutes or follow the time on the package.

Step 2: Cook the Ground Beef
While the spaghetti cooks, heat a frying pan on medium heat. Add a little oil. If you want, chop the onion and garlic and add them to the pan first to cook for 2 minutes. Then add the ground beef. Use a spoon or spatula to break the meat into small pieces. Cook until it’s brown and no pink parts remain (about 7-10 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Add the Sauce
Pour the jar of spaghetti sauce into the pan with the cooked beef. Stir everything together. Let it heat on low for 5 minutes. This helps all the flavors mix.

Step 4: Drain the Spaghetti
Carefully pour the spaghetti into a colander in the sink to drain the water. Be careful, the pot and water are hot!

Step 5: Mix the Spaghetti with the Ground Beef Move the spaghetti to the pot and add the ground beef and start mixing them. Once it’s all mixed up then put the lid on the pot and set it to low heat to let it cook. It should take about 10-15 mins for it to be cooked.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
Put some spaghetti on a plate and spoon the meat sauce on top. If you want, sprinkle some cheese or herbs.

Tips:

  • Don’t rush boiling the water; it needs to be fully boiling before adding pasta.
  • Stir the meat as it cooks so it breaks apart well.
  • Taste the sauce and add more salt or pepper if needed.

That’s it! You just made spaghetti with ground beef. Easy, tasty, and perfect for morons. Enjoy your creation!
